Shops, shops and even more shops
Additions and enlargements are the order of the day, and they are
not confined to the central streets of the town, as shops are rapidly
springing up on the West and East Hills, and in the recently built streets
of New Town. There is, therefore, every indication of great commercial
extension in Dartford, and on this account it is eminently desirable that
the best possible facilities should be afforded to the inhabitants of
smaller towns around to find cheap access thereto. Dartford, with its
rapidly augmenting handsome shops, presents great attractions, and they
should be made easily available to the districts and its environs.
